Migraine

Before I started treatments with Dr. Jiang, I had been suffering with migraine headaches on an ongoing basis for the last 10 years.  The episodes were frequent, accompanied sometimes with nausea.  Although I had been taking medication as a preventative, the effects of the drugs were wearing thin. I decided to try acupuncture as an alternative.
I had my first visit with Dr. Jiang in July 2008 after viewing her credentials on line.  I’ve continued the treatments over the last several months with excellent results.  I have not had one episode for 5 months.  She has also addressed the daily headaches I have lived with all my adult life.  Those headaches have improved about 95%.
Dr. Jiang is certainly very good at what she does and I look forward to having her provide ongoing maintenance.  After suffering with headaches for a very long time, it is wonderful knowing I could feel this well.
I would not hesitate to recommend her because she is competent, caring and effective.

Seasonal Allergy

Dr. Jiang treated me for severe seasonal allergies. I am 40 years old and have suffered my entire life with allergies. Each year when May came around the allergy nightmare began and would last for about one month. After about seven or eight visits with Dr. Jing my allergies were completely healed. I will continue to see Dr. Jing for seasonal maintenance and advise everyone to give Acupuncture a try.

Menopause

After turning 46 last year, menopause came knocking. My mother insisted that I stay away from HRT, so I suffered with sleeplessness due to night sweats, hot flashes,  coupled with decreased energy and mood swings.  On Oprah I witnessed an acupuncturist and sought out Jing in early October/November. I am so happy to say that with her ongoing help, my menopausal symptoms have ceased.  I am back in control of my body.  Life is good! Jing is a special and very caring practioner and I would recommend her to any woman who wants like me, to win against menopause!!

I sought out Dr. Jiang to relieve symptoms of menopause which were becoming increasingly difficult to live with.  Mood swings along with regular night sweats and hot flashes were getting more severe and HRT was not a favorable option.  After some hesitation, as I was not familiar with acupuncture and did not have a recommendation from anyone, I settled on Dr. Jiang due to her extensive training and experience in China.  After 4 acupuncture sessions I am completely symptom free.  No more night sweats or hot flashes and my mood is much more stable.  I have also experienced an increase in energy which has been a nice surprise.  I happily continue to see Dr. Jiang periodically to maintain these amazing results.  Not only is Dr. Jiang an excellent practioner she is also warm and compassionate.  I have recommended her to my friends without hesitation.

Back Pain

I came to Dr. Jing with terrible lower back pain.  I had a tremendous muscle cramp all across my lower back and at times could not walk without a cane.  After one treatment, I could move freely again.  With repeated treatments, my ability to resist re-injuring my back slowly increased, and any future incidents were much more mild.  I have recommended Drto friends and c-workers.  She is very pleasant, very knowledgeable and very dedicated to her patients.

Breast Cancer

I am a breast cancer patient undergoing chemotherapy at Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK).  In coping with the side effects of my treatments, I decided to pursue acupuncture treatment. Her name was given to me by the MSK Integrated Medicine Department.  She has helped me tremendously by increasing my energy level, boosting my immune system and contributing to my better tolerance of the drug therapy I receive on a monthly basis.  Because of my positive experience Dr.Jiang I wholeheartedly recommend her highly skilled services as an adjunct to achieving optimum health while undergoing treatment for disease.

Sincerely,

Cyst

Dr.Jing treated me for a sebaceous cyst in my abdomen. My primary care physician advised me to remove the cyst, but I decided to try acupuncture instead of minor surgery to avoid a permanent scar. Initially, Dr.Jing said I will need 10 or more procedures to completely rid of body of the cyst but it disappeared after only one treatment. I cannot express how surprised and elated I felt after realizing the cyst was gone. Dr.Jing is a highly skillful provider of Acupuncture. I strongly recommend her services to anyone who is willing to try alternative medicine for healing.

Knee Pain

In August of 2007 I fell and landed incredibly hard on my left knee. AT first I thought it was just a fall and that I'd recovered but over the next three months it was stiff and sore at the end of most days. So much water had accumulated on my knee that by the time I went to a medical doctor in November, fluids had dispersed around my knee and my entire knee was swollen and not functional at all. I couldn't bend it or walk up or down stairs, it hurt to get in and out of my car and any kind of exercise was beyond me. A MRI showed a 20% tear in my meniscus and the orthopedist felt that the fluid could not be drained without causing me a lot of pain. After an ineffective cortisone shot, in December he suggested we repair the meniscus and drain the fluid during that surgery, however, I was not happy about having a knee that had never bothered me in my entire life (before my fall) repaired and so I decided to try acupuncture before surgery.

By February of 2008 the pain and discomfort was so great that when I had my consultation with Dr. Jing and she told me she could help but would only promise 75 to 80% recovery, I decided to try one or two treatments and see.  After the second treatment I could bend my knee without pain, however, it did tighten up somewhat during the time between my bi-weekly treatments. Immediately after the first treatment the constant pain disappeared and I wanted to give acupuncture a proper chance to work.

Initially I had four treatments in two weeks. By then I was able to resume doing Yoga.  After that Dr. Jing dialed it down to six weekly treatments, and I resumed my fast walking exercise. I still continued to go every other week for another month, then once a month in April and May. I didn't go over the summer and the last time I had a treatment was in September of 2008. It is now March of 2009 and while there is no doubt that I still have the tear in my meniscus it doesn't bother me at all and my knee is completely healed –- there is no stiffness, or pain no matter how active I am. I walk and use a stair climber and an elliptical trainer three times a week.  I would recommend acupuncture as an alternative to anyone who is contemplating a surgical procedure that can also be treated by acupuncture.  And I would recommend Dr. Jing to everyone who  decides to receive acupuncture as she is the greatest!!!
